Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)

The curricular unit aims to be an opportunity to establish effective organizational links with the world, enabling
the application of knowledge acquired over the marketing program's course that contributes to the
improvement of organizational performance.
The skills developed in the context of Internship or Applied Organizational Project are:
• Ability to integrate into an organization, or to study an empirical reality;
• Ability to relate to colleagues and superiors;
• Ability to perform activities in their own professional field under the guidance of others;
• Contribute to the development and consolidation of technical and social skills of under-graduates in the
organizational context;
• To contribute to the employability of graduates;
• Promote a better match between supply and demand of employment through the exchange between ESCE
and organizations.

Syllabus

Taking into account the objectives and responsibilities set out, the internship report or project should consider
the specificities of the context, objectives and activities of the internship or the specific project.
The internship report should address the following aspects: characterization of the objectives and the
organizational context in which the internship took place, description and analysis of activities undertaken
during the internship; reflection on the contribution of the stage for personal and professional development of
the student.
The project report should address the following aspects: theoretical and conceptual framework on the subject
under study, presentation and description of the organizational context in which the problem arises of
research, definition of the study methodology, presentation and discussion of empirical results; reflection on
the contribution of the project for personal and professional development of the student.


Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The Internship intended as an opportunity to direct and continuous contact with professional exercise in
developing employability. Taking into account the objectives and competencies to develop, intership reflected
these objectives and competencies taking into account the specificities of context, objectives and activities of
each intership.
The Applied Organisational Project intended as an opportunity to develop skills in scientific research, creating
the basis for their understanding and development. Taking into account the objectives and competencies to
develop, project report allows the study of an empirical reality in order to apply knowledge acquired in study
and resolution specific problems in Marketing area. Thus, project aims defining the problem study and
contributes to their understanding/resolution.

Teaching methodologies

Internship - is the training in real work, under tutorial guidance of a teacher and an official of the host
organization, in order to apply skills and develop scientific and technical professionals in the area of
Marketing. The jury evaluation internship consists of three members: the chairman of the jury (the course
director or other faculty designee), the scientific supervisor, and supervisor of the host organization. The
evaluation consists of three components: the report, the presentation and discussion of the report, and
performance evaluation of the student.
Tutorial Guidance - individual sessions of scientific / educational, with the aim of monitoring and guidance in
the development of skills through discussions of specific topics, presentation and discussion of research
results or empirical literature independently by students. The jury and evaluation are similar to internship.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

The Internship or Applied Organizational Project aims to be an opportunity for direct and continuous contact
with professional field to develop employability and/or scientific research skills. Internship Methodology and
Tutorial Guidance represent privileged interaction forms between teachers and students in order to apply and
develop scientific, technical and professional skills, which agree learning strategies, to negotiate specific
objectives to be achieved, and solve inherent problems at learning process.
