Give an overview of the problem of Logistics Management with use of new information and communication technologies in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of logistical systems (orders, transport, distribution, planning and control, always bearing in mind the deadlines, cost-cutting, organizational performance and customer satisfaction).

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

Through knowledge and interpretation of key concepts and tools of the new information and communication technologies, will be possible for students to fit their application to logistics systems and management of resources Logistics in order to improve individual performance and the performance of organizations.

Teaching methodologies

Expository method of presentation in participatory-theoretical concepts. Method of resolving cases, with discussion on the application of concepts.
The assessment consists of group work and case study analysis.
The group work are presented and discussed to all the students.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

Through the lecture and participatory method in the presentation of theoretical concepts, as well as the presentation and discussion of cases, with discussion, in applying the concepts to promote at the presentation in class of each subject, it will be possible for students to fit the problem of Logistics Management with use of New Information Technologies and Communication in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics systems, to know properly apply these concepts and tools in an organization.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

Elaboration and presentation of a Group Work (GW) and analysis of case studies/papers (ACSP)
All evaluation components must have a minimum grade of 10 points.

Final Grade Calculation = GW (50%) + ACSP (50%)

Important note: In the evaluation process, “Measures to be taken in situations associated with fraud in the evaluation processes of the courses taught in IPS schools - Order No. 40 / President 2021” will be taken into account, namely, the mechanisms for mitigating fraud and its consequences.
