Continuous assessment includes two written individual tests, and group work consisting of cases studies and exercises, subject to presentation and discussion. The final assessment consists of a written individual exam.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

In situations associated with fraud in the evaluation processes of courses taught at IPS Schools, the provisions of Order No. 40/Presidente/2021, available at https://www.si.ips.pt/ips_si/img, apply .noticias_cont?p_id=F1474161890/Dispatch40_021.pdf

The evaluation system will have to be validated by the Pedagogical Council.

Continuous evaluation

The knowledge assessment is face-to-face and consists of:

• Elaboration, presentation/discussion of Practical Exercises (PE), carried out in groups (maximum of 4 students), according to the guides made available to the students. The realization of the practical exercises includes an aspect of individual participation
• Mini-test (MT)
• Final Test (T)
Note: Once constituted, each group must send, by October 20, 2022, a form containing the identification of the group. The composition of the groups cannot change during the semester. The sending of this form, by the mentioned date, is mandatory for students to be able to carry out the continuous assessment.

Final Grade = 0.55 EP + 0.20 MT + 0.25 T

If the weighted average of the test scores is less than 10 points, the student will have to carry out a final assessment (Season of Appeal). Regarding activities and assignments, only students who complete the assignments within the defined time limit will be evaluated. If the final grade is less than 10 points, there will be no approval.

Final evaluation

There are three final evaluation periods:

1. Normal Season | 1st season (intended for students who did not opt for continuous assessment)
The evaluation consists of an individual written test (E).
If the individual test score is less than 10 points, there will be no approval.

2. Season of Appeal|2nd season (intended for students who did not complete or did not pass the regular season or continuous assessment)
The evaluation consists of an individual written test (E).
If the individual test score is less than 10 points, there will be no approval.
Note: If the student has carried out the Practical Work (EP) and obtained a positive grade in this component, higher than the grade of the written test of the final evaluation, the final grade will be calculated using the following expression:

Final Grade = 0.5 EP + 0.5 E

3. Special Season:
The evaluation consists of an individual written test (E).
If the individual test score is less than 10 points, there will be no approval.
Note: For Grade Improvement, the same applies as for the special season.
