Know the concepts of planning and analyze their fundamental functions.
Know how to define goals and the planning process in sports organizations in general and in Nature Sports in particular.
Describe the decision-making process and analyze its importance in the planning of Nature Sports programs.
Know the main theories and trends about motivation.
Describe the communication process and its essential elements.
To know the structure and dynamics of the sports organizations that operate in the field of Nature Sports.

PLANNING
Mission and objectives; Plans; Levels of planning; Management by objectives; Strategic planning.
ORGANIZATION
Process and objectives of the organization; Functions, departmentalization and differentiation; Principles of organization; Organizational structures:
Types of structure; Determinants of structure; Authority, influence and power.
DIRECTION
Motivation.
Theories about motivation; Motivation in practice.
Leadership.
Leadership styles; Behavioral approach; Situational approach; Factors that affect the choice of leadership style.
Communication.
Communication flows; Channels and communication networks; Barriers and communication development.
CONTROL
Process and types of control; Performance monitoring and evaluation; Financial control.


Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The planning of programs in nature sports proves to be a pillar in the understanding basis of the preparation of activities in nature sports, so it is intended to provide the student with knowledge that allows them to prospect the interactive moment of different situations of exercise in different Populations, in nature sports.

Teaching methodologies

Exposition of topics by the teacher; Oriented discussion of themes in plenary and / or small groups; Carrying out practical or applied work; Preparation of written works; Presentation and discussion of group work.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

At the end of the work the expected competencies are located in the following areas:
- Appropriation and mastery of knowledge related to the various topics covered;
- Field of use of planning instruments.
- Use, in a judicious and well-founded way, of the knowledge acquired in practical / applied situations.
- Ability of bibliographical research in the accomplishment of written works and / or oral presentations.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

Continuous evaluation
- Participation - 10%.
- Group work - 40%.
- Tests - 50% (Minimum mark of 6 points)
Final exam: Students who do not obtain a final grade of 9.5 or higher in the continuous evaluation regime will go to final exam.
In order to be in the continuous evaluation the student has to fulfill an attendance of 75%.

For the purpose of assigning the final classification, the teacher may stipulate, if necessary for a better clarification of the evaluation process, the oral discussion of any of the productions developed by the students.

Final evaluation
As an alternative to continuous assessment, students may take a final exam. If they choose the final exam they can, like the other students, follow the activities carried out by the UC page on the moodle platform and put their questions to the teacher.

Attendance system

Each student is expected to be at least 75% of the practical sessions and to analyze and discuss the proposed tasks and to execute the assessment products in close relation with the UC teachers, except for students with special status
