Know the fundamentals of the theory and practice of the project in view of the strategic model guide; from intention to action.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The contents are fully in line with the objectives of the course, starting with the approach of general concepts of the theory of intervention projects describing the theoretical basis for the unsatisfactory inducing situations of various types, followed by all approach the concepts related to the theme of the organization of sporting events, eminently practical and demanding subject of a set of basic aspects as described in the course syllabus content.

Teaching methodologies

The approach of the syllabus will be made initially on the basis of expository nature classes based on presentation and topics of discussion arising from listed content in this program and in a second phase, in classes aimed at raising issues and development practical study in group-related issues arising from the issues addressed.

The process shall include: (a) the presentation of topics by the teacher; (B) reading, analysis and discussion of scientific texts; (C) the realization of practical or applied studies; (D) the preparation of written work; (E) the realization, presentation and discussion of group work.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

It is intended that future graduates develop skills on different themes and content covered, specifically the fundamentals of the theory and practice of the project in general and the organization of sporting events in particular.
It is intended to develop the field of understanding and application of the variables associated with the management of Sports projects and understanding the importance of event organization in general and sports events in particular for social development.
It is also intended that students understand the impact of an economic nature as one of the dimensions of large sporting events organization and present a proposal to hold a sports event of international dimension, collecting and selecting information to specific situations of context general and sports, identifying the local application of opportunities for sporting events.
It is considered perfectly consistent with these learning objectives of the course, the initial methodology of lectures and presentation topics of discussion arising from content and classes aimed to survey questions and the development of practical studies. In this way the students have access to a dynamic and interactive way to acquire theoretical knowledge and teóricopráticos relation to the course content.
In a second phase the teaching methodology is developed in a more practical way, researching, analyzing and discussing scientific texts on sports projects, allowing the teaching-learning process to evolve into a more authentic touch with the reality of organizing projects and sports events and the diversity of variables and factors involving the dynamics of its management and operation, performing an individual practical work of organizing an event, aiming at an early contact with the labor market and the reality in the context of the organization of sporting events.
So the student can feel the importance and interaction between the taught theoretical content and practice, feeling more concretely the development of their abilities and skills to analyze and deal with the phenomena of management of sports organizations.
In a third phase the student is faced, in fact, with the practical reality, thus achieving one of the most important goals of their training, which is to see and hear specific cases.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

Process Evaluation (55%)

Results of student performance on various types of tasks, such as research papers and production of written briefs, practical / applied papers, book reviews, reports, oral presentations, critical participation, attention, questioning, interest in activities, attendance, etc. (5%). The evaluation process is divided between two main works, of which stands out; Construction of a conceptual map of the content covered in the respective UC (20%) and the development of a project / sporting event (30%)

Product Evaluation (45%)
It is expressed by the student's performance in the written test (45%).

Continuous evaluation process component will contribute 55% towards the final grade.

The product component of continuous assessment will contribute 45% towards the final grade.

To be on the ongoing evaluation process the student has to fulfill a 70% attendance.

Attendance system

It is expected that each student: (a) is present in at least 70% of classes and participate in the discussion of the issues under consideration and the realization of the various proposed work; (B) read the texts of support and be prepared to analyze and discuss the issues presented; (C) perform the tasks and scheduled work, showing clearly and accurately the ownership and use of knowledge on the subject of organization and management of sporting events.
