Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)

It is intended that the student can acquire skills at the level of:

A) Organization and management of information (based on the collection and identification of cultural indicators, existing social and community structures);
B) Appropriation and use of differentiated concepts (identifying the specificities and "bridges" between, in particular, culture, education, art, development);
C) Understanding the factors that guide cultural enjoyment (cultural consumption);
D) Appropriation of practical knowledge, used in the animation of the cultural heritage; Live History, Open Museum, Creative Writing Animation ...
E) Conduct of works, presentation and discussion of the same, focusing on the themes mentioned in the previous paragraphs and explained in the programmatic contents.

Syllabus

3.1. Approach and deepening of fundamental concepts related to:
1. Artistic and cultural literacy;
2. Educational services of libraries and museums: organization and good practices;
3.Animation and promotion of cultural heritage in various contexts;
4. Artistic object as an inducing element of sociocultural animation;
5.Selection of resources to support sociocultural animation;

3.2. Techniques of Cultural Heritage Animation
1.Future / cultural consumption
2. Material and immaterial cultural heritage;
3. Artistic manifestations in different cultural, social and educational contexts;
4. Creation:
5.Experimentation of different artistic techniques appropriate to the development of animation activities;
6.Animation:
7. Techniques of animation of cultural heritage.


Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The curriculum unit of Animation and Cultural Heritage seeks to articulate the domain of sociocultural animation with the many aspects of cultural heritage (in their material and immaterial dimensions), in order to consolidate specific knowledge and practices that can Promotion, disclosure and preservation thereof.

In this sense, the program contents are aimed at providing the students with conceptual knowledge and the possibility of operationalizing them in the analysis of concrete situations, structuring themselves in three complementary levels:

1. The first programmatic block addresses a differentiated set of key concepts that intervene in the definition, understanding, legitimation and enjoyment / consumption of cultural heritage - understood in its many configurations;

2. The second block focuses on the methodologies of animation of cultural heritage, taking into account the articulation and operationalization of the concepts previously discussed to concrete contexts of action, considered in its various modalities

3. The third block is dedicated to the practical exploration of techniques and processes for the selection of human and material resources, which can support the animation in context, concrete action, considered in its various modalities

Through articulation between concepts, contact with real situations and the production of elements to support animation, it is possible to appropriate, reflect / debate, manage, operationalize knowledge and work methodologies in the execution of works directed to intervention in contexts of action.

Teaching methodologies

It is intended that the themes be articulated, in order to demonstrate that the professional can participate proactively in the animation of the heritage, using it as a resource of socialization and development of citizenship.
Along with the discussion of the theoretical themes in the sessions, contacts will be made with services, companies, workshops and creators, who develop their activity by promoting specific aspects of cultural heritage or encouraging actions on it, in order to participate in some of the activities or visiting their facilities and contacting their professionals and organizers. These sessions will have their own calendar and a previously defined script
The idea underlying these visits is the analysis and understanding of the innumerable types of intervention, methods and techniques used in the promoted actions.
Tutorial follow-up will also be carried out, either by group or individually, and according to the theme of the research to be done.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

The organization of this curricular unit around its three structuring axes (fruir / cultural consumption, Create / Produce and Animate) allows the approach to a wide range of problems and a diversity of perspectives that allows the understanding of the innumerable possibilities of animation in heritage contexts , Understood as resources simultaneously cultural, social and identity.
The use of active methodologies and direct contact with institutions, services, companies, or other collective entities that develop an activity of cultural heritage animation allows the operationalization of theoretical knowledge and concepts previously discussed in the observation and critical analysis of real contexts of action, As well as the collection, processing and public presentation of information.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

The Continuous Evaluation process focuses on the abilities of animation, body expression, voice, diction, dramatization, staging, scripting, historical and literary material research as heritage in:
1. Animation - Performance / representation, in small working groups, to discuss and choose with the students in the first sessions, from:
1-1 Live History Facts related to the cultural heritage - Almenara Project - Palmela, Lisbon, May 2017, in schools of the council of Palmela at two levels of education, or
1-2 Dramatization of the life and work of Poets of the District of Setúbal (Sebastião da Gama and Bocage, poetry / Literature as intangible heritage) Poetry Festival - Pinhal Novo Library or/and
1-3 Performance / Heritage; Troia Roman Ruins.
To share and choose with the students in the first sessions (40%)

2. Realization of a Power Point, Digital Portfolio, in fiches on the processes of construction of Perfomance, in a small group (30%)

3.Assiduity and participation in theoretical-practical classes (30%)
