- Identifies needs for socio-educational animation;
- Identifies good practices of socio-educational animation;
- Knows, analyzes and problematizes models, techniques and practices of socio-educational animation relating different objectives, contexts, areas of intervention and public
- Analyzes a socio-educational animation project identifying its different components;
- Conceives, implements and evaluates a socio-educational intervention
- It constructs or recreates different materials, dynamics or educational games according to the objectives of intervention.

Syllabus

The concepts of Socio-educational Animation are approached so that students can develop projects in the area, theoretically and technically based.
The approach to the issues of Childhood / Adolescence and Youth (disruption of social behavior, school abandonment and failure, neglect and maltreatment) makes it possible to work with different populations
The elaboration, implementation and evaluation of projects of socio-educational animation enables the necessary knowledge to the activity as animators in different educational contexts
The approach of the Portuguese reality and the study of the good practices of socio-educational animation allows the deepening of the knowledge of the different practices in order to develop an up-to-date and creative professionalism.


Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

Concepts of socio-educational animation;
- Problems of Childhood / Adolescence and Youth;
- Methodologies and techniques of socio-educational animation
- Design, implementation and evaluation of socio-educational animation projects;
- Contexts, projects and practices of socio-educational animation in portuguese society

Teaching methodologies

Methodology includes the holding of seminars with external guests, the dynamization of pairs of socio-educational activities and a critical and collective reflection on the work, as well as the design of activities of socio-cultural animation and its development in context (In articulation with the activities of initiation to professional practice).The sessions will include the exposition and debate around the themes of the program as well as the exploration and practical experimentation, individual and group, of methodologies and techniques of socio-educational animation, with a view to an understanding and integration of knowledge in the elaboration of projects For different contexts and audiences. This theoretical-practical work in the classroom will be complemented with the research and reading of texts and documents and the production of works of different nature.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

Teaching methodologies reflect the flexibility of the objectives of the program. That is why the students, in their classes, deepen the topics that concern them as future professionals.
On the other hand, the content covered is necessary to develop the skills to work in this curricular unit. The practical work allows you to study the diversity of contexts in which they will work.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

The evaluation will focus on the work carried out throughout the UC and will be a continuous process of retroactive regulation that will include moments of individual and group work.
Continuous assessment includes the following elements and respective weightings: (a) participation in classes (10%) research and presentation of works (40%); Preparation of a socio-educational animation project (50%).
In an examination situation, the evaluation will focus on written production
