1-To mobilize and systematize fundamental knowledge about the language sciences;
2-Deepening skills of analysis and interpretation of the structure and functioning of written in Portuguese;
3- To identify and characterize textual genres, purposes and supports diverse languages;
4- To produce oral and written texts of different genres;
5- To share publicly questions, views, arguments and opinions;
6- To develop the capacity to make independent and timely tasks and activities;

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

Demonstration of the consistency of the syllabus with the learning objectives of the curricular unit: the linguage between programmatic content and learning objectives is as follows: A, B, C, D, E – 1; F, G, H, I, J, K-2; L, M, N, O-3; all-4.7.

Teaching methodologies

Methods of teaching (assessment included): exhibition of knowledge by the teacher and students ' spontaneous interventions (theoretical). Realization of exercises in pairs, followed by plenary discussion of results (theoretical and practical). Individual reading, in pairs or in a group, preparation of the lesson texts and supplementary texts deepening (study and evaluation). Writing, in pairs, of synthesis of a class syllabus (tutória orientation and evaluation). Realization of a final that articulate the pedagogical practice with theoretical reflection. The assessment includes the following elements: class participation (20%); work of reflection (80%)

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

Demonstration of the consistency of teaching methodologies and the learning objectives of the curricular unit: the articulation of the teaching methodologies with the goals is most evident in the three penúltimos goals. For they contribute especially the theoretical and practical education, mentoring and evaluation. However, previous objectives also underlie the methodologies adopted, in particular in the theoretical, in the study.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

The evaluation includes the following elements: class participation (briefs, fact sheets, summaries, exercises, reviews, criticism... (50%); individual work on one of the literary content of UC (50%).

Attendance system

The continuous formative assessment requires that each student watch the 80% of full-time classes. Students with student status workers can watch only 50% of face-to-face lessons dealing with teachers running some additional work.
