Objectives, competences and learning Outcomes
The Professional Voice course aims to give students insight into the notions of professional voice and raise awareness in the face of its specificity in relation to the professional and non-professional voices, through scientific evidence to date. It is also intended that students acquire or develop skills to enable and / or rehabilitate the voice of these professionals, taking into account their different working methods and communication.

1. General considerations on the professional voice
1.1. International classification of professional voice use
1.2. Fundamentals biological, linguistic, psychological and social aspects of professional voice
1.3. Contexts of communication and % time / voice quality
1.4. Internal and external risk factors
1.5. Incidence and prevalence of vocal disorders
1.6. the most common consequences of vocal abuse and misuse: media cases
1.7. Spoken and sung voices: acoustic and physiological differences
2. Enable and / or rehabilitate professional voice - evidence-based practice
2.1. Particularities in the speech therapist with this population
2.2. Promotion of hygiene and health vocals
2.3. Consulting (individual or professional groups)
2.4. Vocal technique adapted to the contexts of vocal use
Teaching and Learning Strategies
The teaching methods of this course are based on three main axes: the lecture method, discussion in large group and individual work, or in small groups.
Type of assessment
Assessment
The evaluation of the course is done through two activities of theoretical and practical:
• An individual work that requires critical analysis of a clinical case provided by the faculty, for the parameters and procedures for assessment and clinical intervention. This component has a weight of 70% of the final grade of students;
• A working group involving the oral presentation and a written summary of a scientific paper that demonstrates the scientific evidence of therapeutic techniques in the qualification, optimization, or speech rehabilitation professionals in subjects voice. This component has a weight of 30% of the final grade of students.
