Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The syllabus of the curricular unit of Meridians, Points and Techniques II aim to provide students with the
acquisition of knowledge and expertise regarding the location of acupuncture points. In this sense, the
syllabus of the curricular unit deal with the path of the regular and extraordinary meridians, location and
main directions of the points.

Teaching methodologies

Expositive, demonstrative, participative and problem solving. The unit can be effected by continuous
assessment or final evaluation.
The final classification (FC) curricular unit for continuous evaluation is obtained from the marks obtained
in the written component (T) and the practical component (PL).
The written component consists of two written tests and is on theoretical and practical content. The
minimum grade in each frequency is 10 values. The pratical component consists of two moments of
assessment conducted during the classes, must be equal to or greater than 10. The final grade is
calculated from the following formula: CF = 0.50 T + 0.50 PL. The classification of all assessment
instruments is expressed on a scale of 0 to 20, and the weighted value of the marks obtained must be equal
or greater than 10.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

The lectures of teaching materials provide students with the foundation for the understanding and
knowledge of the path of the regular and extraordinary meridians and respective indications of
acupuncture points. The practical component will consolidate those same skills allowing you to correct
identification of points of said median.
In these classes students will have access and anatomical models of the human body with acupuncture
points, meridians, extraordinary meridians points and new points. Outside the hours of their practical
classes students have access to parts and anatomical models. In the runup examinations, access to them
is available for 8 hours a day.
The use issues throughout the thematic sessions allow students to awaken the curiosity and the
deepening of the subjects covered.
