Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
The contents of "Rehabilitation Nursing for people with respiratory, cardiac and musculoskeletal affections “ determine the scope where the graduate student in the field of nursing rehabilitation can deepen and analyse the necessary knowledge to understand the situations in question; Will be used a methodology that begins with nursing diagnoses and requisites for its preparation, followed by knowledge of specific techniques of each that allow you to design a plan of action in the different situations and conditions with changes in functionality that will be used to determine needs on rehabilitation nursing care, which is why there is a component of laboratory practices
Understanding the process of rehabilitation in the continuity of care, taking into account the family involvement in the community and the available resources, it is important to empower people and their autonomy.
The contents allow achieving learning goals to give acting skills throughout the lifecycle with special emphasis on children and the elderly as well as chronic conditions with high prevalence in our society.
Teaching methodologies
The methodology used allows for the application of information and demonstration techniques. It is intended that each student actively participate in the teaching-learning process, it is expected to develop the course, discussion of specific topics in small groups and extended through the orientation and implementation of group work.
The exhibition and discussion in class will be made by the teacher or by the students based on research that will be performed in databases, according to the proposed themes. Is privileged in the classroom, interactive strategies, conducive to student participation and reflection.
Is intended that evaluation will be centred in a continuous skills assessment, conductive to a processes that led to its development. Will be privileged group and individual works, where students can integrate research, aimed to find the best scientific evidence. This work will be discussed with the teacher.
Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
Depending on the objectives to be achieved, which allow the assignment of a specialist title and the academic degree of master, the methodologies of teaching and learning on the one hand seek to provide solid and updated scientific knowledge and also the mastery of practices inherent to specialist title and while taking students to integrate scientific knowledge as an indispensable source of an evidence-based practice. Accordingly will be fostered systematic search in databases and the analysis of the clinical practice guidelines produced by scientific authorities and / or bodies responsible for the quality of nursing practice rehabilitation. It is intended that thedeepening of reflective capacity as a learning tool, where the analysis of practices in the light of scientific knowledge, enhances the ability to transfer knowledge to new contexts and experiences.
To respond properly to the defined objectives in line with the recommendations of the Association of Nurses in this area of clinical practice, the course will have a component of laboratory practice in a simulated environment. Taking into account the technical skills to be developed, the laboratory will be the main stage of this experiment, accompanied by teachers and experts in rehabilitation nursing.
The two strands of methodologies employed seek to empower the student in order to be able to give an answer to the problems of quality patient / family person, working based on a scientific process, complemented by the development of specific technical skills in the area of rehabilitation, in an integrated way.
