Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
The contents "rehabilitation Nursing for people with neurological affections " and " with neurosurgical and traumatic affections, determine the scope where the master's degree in the field of rehabilitation nursing can deepen and analyse the necessary knowledge for understanding specific situations; it´s possible to evaluate and make specific diagnostics that allow the student to draw a specific intervention plan but understanding the articulation with the performed by other nurses or other professionals. It´s necessary to develop specific technical skills that enable rehabilitation, reintegration performance and exercise citizenship.
Understanding the process of rehabilitation in continuity of care, with attention to family involvement and resources available in the community, is relevant to the empowerment of persons and for their autonomy.
The specific intervention with children will highlight health-illness conditions taking into account the sameprinciples before highlighted. Moreover, the importance of motor development in the course of life of children with disabilities.
Teaching methodologies
Methodologies are focused on student learning process in expositive and participative classes and in individual in group work. We will analyse texts to determine the critical sense and discussion to discuss projects of intervention plans. We will appeal to the professional and personal experience of students requesting their participation.
Simulated practice in the laboratory and will be accompanied by experts. It prepares for development of specific technical skills of rehabilitation.
Evaluation on theoretical-practical component can be in a continuous or final examination but the laboratory component will be subject to continuous evaluation.
Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
Required skills to develop learning Master's students must achieve nurse specialist and master profiles. Rely on the deepening of declarative knowledge they need reflection and ability to transfer knowledge and experience to new contexts. The strategies are presented accordingly in order to obtain the best answer for the person and the family. Knowledge is central in the intervention because it is not intended merely as a technical execution but a comprehensive and integrated response. Framing the experience of caring in a simulated context should approach the situation to reality. Be aware of the scientific production, will put the student in the position of confronting the practice, taking from that experience the evidence, applicable to clinical contexts.
Taking into account the technical skills to be developed, the laboratory will be the main stage of this experiment, accompanied by teachers and experts in rehabilitation nursing.
The development of this curriculum unit can only be based on the specific course units but also in common master discipline. It is intended to appeal to this knowledge for a better understanding of the present curriculum unit.
The demonstration of communication skills are relevant, which fits in the teaching methodologies proposed.
