Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
It is intended that at the end of this course the student is able to:
• Identify bioethics and ethical dimensions in practical decision-making;
• Understand the nature of professional practice;
• Support the decision on principles, values and ethical standards;
• Discuss the fundamentals of decision making;
• Promote the protection of human rights and fundamental rights;
• Integrate bioethics and ethics of knowledge in case analysis;
• Seize and reflect on the requirements for a good professional and humanistic practice, focused on health and wellbeing of the patient,
• Meet the objectives of ethics; rules and legal norms, moral and ethical values that govern the attitude towards the patient, professional colleagues and before the general laws of citizenship and specific profession;
• Know the Code of Conduct acupuncturist

The objectives and expected results of this course give response to skills in reflection and bioethical and ethical debate.
Require theoretical construction and reflective debate, information contained in the syllabus, either in theoretical and critical perspective, either in their discussion centered on issues and cases - the theoretical framework and learning fit in-ethics and ethical analysis of cases and situations everyday life and problems.
Teaching methodologies
The teaching-learning methodologies include theoretical lectures, text analysis and reflective discussion, active and participatory, with debate arguments, explanation of the problems and finding the best alternative.
Assessment methodologies and evidences
The course can be made by:
(a) continuous, ongoing at the school and that results in the exemption
examination period, if the final grade is equal to or higher than 9,5 and assuming the formative and summative dimensions; (b) the assessment by examination, which takes the summative dimension.
The assessment methodology consists of individual achievement or small group (one to three)
in-depth and critical review, with presentation and discussion of a topic chosen by students,
covering bioethics and ethical dimension, with a minimum grade of 9.5.
Script trxt vslues 90% and the presentation, in pitch format, 10%.
The exam consists of presentation and discussion of work in which the approval
will require a rating equal to or greater than 9.5.
