Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
The approach requires a theoretical construction, a reflective and critical discussion of information contained in the syllabus.
It is intended that the student can understand, reflect and discuss the conceptual and operational issues, which dominate today's everyday health of individuals and populations, in layman's terms and in terms of scientific rationality. The analysis of the evolution of health paradigms provides the framework for community health. The reflection on the impact of the new demographic backgrounds in health, allows designing the challenges ahead. Associated with the new demographic context arises the analysis of daily change in health, with “healthization”, risk control and medicalization to require deep thought for their impact on the lives of individuals and health systems. It also proposes a reflection on the body, the media and health and a discussion of the lay rationalities and exercise citizenship in health. Shows up so full consistency between learning objectives and course content.

The theoretical and practical sessions rely on the active participation of students and are predominantly active and participatory, with debate, clarification of issues, argumentation, critical questioning and reflection, always encouraged and moderated by the teacher.
Continuous evaluation:
The evaluation methodology consisting in carrying out a paper review and critical depth, held throughout the semester covering all subjects of the course.
Evaluationt by examination:
- Written Individual Event
Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
To achieve the expected learning outcomes, methodologies that encourage personal and professional development of students, based on a continuous rolling work, reflection and critical questioning properly guided and supported the theoretical and practical teaching sessions analysis will be used. The use of the individual or group work, guided reading, classroom discussions on various thematic proposals, aimed at developing skills Analytical operationalization indispensable to the community nursing and public health, who require a daily positioning (de) construction of the central themes that dominate the syllabus. The option for a paper evaluation that requires the review and critical depth on all the topics of curriculum addresses the need of attracting students to the importance of issues usually absent (or marginal) in professional discourse, but that dominate everyday ( and concerns) the health of individuals, populations and communities today.
