Competencies: Indicators
Responsibility , Ethics and Deontology : The student is able to accept responsibility and account for their actions and judgments, recognizes the limits of their role and competence ; uses formal and informal consultation mechanisms ; knows the Code of Ethics , becomes involved effectively in making ethical decision ; recognize their beliefs and values and how these may influence the delivery of care .
Key principles of delivering and managing care : The student is able to use the knowledge and techniques adequately to explain its decision and action , incorporating research findings and apply critical thinking and problem solving techniques . Properly use the basic tools in nursing , effectively organizes its work and acts as a resource for customers .
Health Promotion : The student is able to face the individual, family and community in a holistic perspective that takes into account the multiple determinants of health and to provide relevant information to help to achieve optimal levels of health and rehabilitation . Recognizes the potential of health education on nursing interventions and acts to empower the individual, family and community to adopt healthy lifestyles . Apply knowledge of resources for the promotion and health education , uses strategies appropriate teaching- learning and assessment processes and results , participating in teamwork.
Nursing Process : The student is able to perform continuous and systematic steps of the Nursing Process, communicating with consistent , relevant , accurate and understandable information , in respect of their area of competence and the limits of the professional relationship with the client .
Communication and Relationship : The student uses the information resources available to effectively and appropriately.
Safe Environment : The student is able to act according to the principles of safety, to promote a safe care , using communication , assessment , and strategies for quality assurance , risk management , and control of infection .
Development of Learning : The student is able to promote and maintain the professional image of nursing and actively contribute to their development , enhancing research and continuous quality improvement of health care and nursing . Regularly analyzes and evaluates its practices , assertively , taking responsibility for lifelong learning .
