The student at the end of CU:
Identifies the enabling relational skills of openness to the other, underlying of the principles of human care;
Identifies Helping Relationship favoring communication techniques ;
Understands client's needs for help;
Judges the intervention to be carried out regarding the method(s) of aid in the therapeutic relationship;
Fits the aid process to the needs made explicit by client;
Integrates the Helping Relationship in the Nursing Process;
Implements the different phases of the counseling process;
Reflects on the lived experience of aid processes;

Helping relation as a vehicle of nursing care and a care for it self
Opening to another person (individual or group client).

Difficult communications: principles and techniques
Theory and Crisis Intervention.
Relational phenomena associated with aid in nursing: identification, transference and counter-transference~

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
The syllabus presents and deepens the theory and technical aspects of helping relationship and
counselling in nursing. It creates the conditions for the expression of helping relational skills in clinical
training.
Teaching methodologies
Expository and participatory approach in lectures and seminar.
Tutorial - combined with the Clinical Trainig of the 2nd semester, orientation for the dynamics of aid processes.
Use of individual student work.
Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
The CU is annual. In the first semester the syllabus promotes the theoretical learning of theory and
technique of helping relation and counselling in nursing. In the second semester the tutorial guidance
lessons occur in conjunction with the clinical training, creating learning opportunities for the development
of relational skills on-the-care. Expository and participatory approach in lectures and seminar.

Individual work to be held in the 1st semester (60%)
