Knows the principles of community mental health
Know different explanatory models of development in mental health
Discriminates the individual, family and community in a holistic way that takes into account the multiple determinants of mental health
Know the main therapies and therapeutic techniques currently used in psychiatry;
Discusses the therapeutic applicability of the techniques by themselves experienced
Explains the conceptual framework of mental health nursing and psychiatric
Discusses the ethical aspects associated with caring people within the processes of mental health-illness
Know the role of the nurse in the care of people at risk of / with mental morbidity in the context of multidisciplinary team of mental health

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

In Nursing V - Mental Health-Illness Processes, the syllabus deepens the understanding of the phenomena in mental health, giving progressive relevance on focus of attention, diagnoses and interventions in the area of mental health and psychiatric nursing. They are therefore consistent with the objectives of UC.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

The development of theoretical knowledge in the area of mental health nursing is done by affirmative
-expository method using the participation of class and individual student work. The CU also includes a dimension of experiential participation in learning intervention techniques using expression mediators into smaller groups of students.
