I Responsibility, ethics and deontology
The student is able to accept responsibility and account for their actions and the judgments which elaborates, recognizing the limits of your role and competence. Acts in accordance with the Code of Conduct and other applicable legislation, engaging effectively in ethical decision making. Addresses appropriately care practices, identifies risky practices and adopts appropriate measures.
II Key principles of care and care management
The student is able to use the knowledge and techniques adequately to explain its decision and action, incorporating research findings, apply critical thinking and problem solving techniques. Correctly uses the basic tools nursing, effectively organizes its work and acts as a resource for people / customers.
III Health Promotion
The student is able to face the person / client, family and community in a holistic perspective that takes into account the multiple determinants of health and to provide relevant information to help achieve optimal levels of health and rehabilitation. Recognizes the potential of health education on nursing interventions and acts to empower the family and community to adopt healthy lifestyles. Applies knowledge of resources for the promotion and health education, makes use of teaching strategies and learning appropriate and evaluates processes and outcomes, participating in teamwork.
IV Nursing Process
The student is able to perform continuous and systematic steps of nursing process - data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation - communicating with consistency, relevant, correct, understandable, respecting their area of competence and the limits of the professional relationship with the person / client.
V Communication and Relationship
The student is able to initiate, develop and suspend therapeutic relationships with the person / client and / or caregivers, through the use of appropriate communication and information, promoting the empowerment and autonomy. Uses available information resources effectively and appropriately with the person / client, peer and multi-professional team.
VI Safe Environment
The student is able to act according to the principles of safety, to promote a safe care environment, using communication, assessment, and strategies for quality assurance, risk management and infection control.
VII Teamwork and delegation
The student is able to establish and maintain constructive working relations with nurses and rest multidisciplinary team, identifying and valuing their roles and capabilities. Participate with members of the healthcare team in making decisions regarding the person / client, taking into account the different perspectives. Knows the principles of delegation and use support strategies when supervising, assuming its responsibility.
VIII Learning Development
The student is able to promote and maintain the professional image of nursing and to contribute actively to its development, enhancing research and continuous quality improvement of health care and nursing. Analyzes and assesses their practices, assertively, taking responsibility for lifelong learning. "
Syllabus
In Clinical Education of Adult and Elderly Person with Processes Health / Mental Illness numtotal total of 270h of which are 168h and 102h Contact autonomous work done in 6 weeks.
Clinical Education in hospital context with a focus on adult and elderly with the health /mental illness or community experience with a focus on adult and elderly with problematic area of the addition.
