Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
UC Nursing VIII emphasizes active and participative methodology in order to promote student development, facilitating the deepening of knowledge, enabling it to develop competencies in the field of nursing care in contexts Continuing and Palliative care. The developing skills for students are organized based on the evidence produced in this area, a theoretical framework of care based on the promotion of comfort (Kolcaba) and humanist nature Care (Watson) to ensure insurance and quality care. Students are prepared to develop critical spirit, appropriate care that lend themselves in continuing and palliative contexts, as well as a set of specific skills (communication, symptom control, team work) in the field of clinical decision-making enabling adapted responses in situations of complexity inherent in continuing and palliative care.
It is intended that students throughout the UC meet and discuss the issues that are being taught, it was considered appropriate to use the exhibition and participatory methodology in the theoretical and practical/theoretical, stimulating critical thinking and reflective of the students.
Theoretical-practical lessons allow you to give expression to the practical content of the lectures.
Tutorial orientation lessons are carried out in order to monitor the development of the student's work in the development of materials to support the teaching and learning process, as well as the teaching resource in simulated environment of palliative situations, retracing the steps of the nursing process, stimulating the instrumental competence and ensuring the acquisition of the syllabus.
