Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
The Organizational psycho-sociology (OP) unit contributes to the development of organizational analysis competencies. This unit includes the study of individual processes in organizations, group processes and organizational dynamics, in order to give the students a better understanding of work and organizations related aspects, and to contribute to the students' fulfillment of their potential, as well as their integration in work contexts.
Upon successful completion of this unit, the students will be able to identify the concepts and various of the models in Organizational psycho-sociology at the individual, group and organizational levels. The students will also be able to apply the aforementioned models and concepts to situations experienced or observed during clinical training and/or practice.
Syllabus
The individual in the organization: perception and impression management; abilities; emotions; motivation and satisfaction; work attitudes and values; stress and well-being.
Groups in organizations: group definitions, types of groups, group behavior, groups and teams.
Power and leadership.
Communication; negotiation and conflict management strategies.
Organizational climate, culture and change.
Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
Brief lectures that introduce concepts and models, followed by study cases analysis, first with students distributed in small groups and afterwards in debate with the whole group participating.

For the successful completion of this unit, the student must have a grade equal or above 9,5/20 in a written individual test.
If unsuccessful during the classes period assessment, the student may complete this unit in the exam - an individual written test, in which for approval has to have a grade equal or superior to 9,5/20.
Assessment methodologies and evidences
The final classification corresponds to that obtained in the written test.
Attendance system
For working students (with registered status) or any other students with special status, special assessment follows the School´s academic regulations and rules.
