Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

The learning objectives of the Curricular Unit of Research Methodologies in Speech Therapy aim to enable the student to know and practice the research process in Speech Therapy using quantitative and qualitative methods, such as the application of psychometric instruments and scales of skills development , and also the application of techniques of observation, interviewing and elaboration of a questionnaire to collect and systematically record data on language development in children. Its programmatic content encompasses the knowledge, understanding and application of the research process using quantitative and quantitative methodologies for data collection, systematization and analysis. It is intended that students perceive the advantages and limitations of different methodologies of data collection, control, treatment and analysis and that, in the end, they are able to select research methodologies in line with the defined research objectives.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

In order to respond to learning objectives focused on knowledge and understanding, we use dialogic expository classes. For the application, collection, systematization and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, practical exercises, surveys and observation visits are carried out. In these, the student observes, interviews, questions and applies instruments in order to collect, systematize and analyze data. The execution of written works allows the student to evaluate their knowledge, understanding, systematization and analysis of the collected data. In addition, the student through research appropriates theoretical knowledge and consolidates them in the discussion between peers.
