Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
The learning objectives of this curricular unit (UC) focused on the knowledge and understanding of the phenomenon of language acquisition, its explanatory theories and process begin by being worked on by viewing a documentary and its group discussion, complemented with a debate promoted by the students, which is supported by an argumentaire previously prepared around different issues, and by lectures.
The learning objectives of the UC focused on knowledge, understanding and description of language acquisition and development in the phonological domain are worked on in expository classes, through document analysis (written records, videos and audios), and practical application exercises, such as description and analysis of production, perception and metalanguage data so that students can monitor their learning process.
These activities serve as a basis for mastering instruments and techniques and other professional tasks in the context of speech and oral and written language disorders in children, and aim to support an evidence-based practice in future practice in Speech Therapy.
On the Moodle platform, the required resources are made available for each session (bibliography, videos, audios and documents supporting the activities), identifying fundamental and complementary readings, and knowledge consolidation activities to be carried out during the hours of autonomous study.
The assessment is carried out through a final written test (individual) to verify knowledge, understanding and application of concepts, and through a written argumentative synthesis (in pairs), arising from the discussion in class about arguments adduced by the different explanatory theories of acquisition language for specific themes.
