Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
In order to facilitate the development of competencies related to the identification and use of Stress Management fundamental concepts and strategies, all theoretical frameworks related to these concepts and strategies are presented and discussed. Illustrative practical study cases are also presented and individual or group activities related to the stress management strategies included in the syllabus are performed. Students are also encouraged to practice stress management activities during the time period between the weekly stress management classes and talk about difficulties or other questions related to these practices.
Evaluation methods are also structured so that students reflect and apply Stress Management concepts, models and strategies to nursing study and their future practice as nurses. The proposed activities, both during classes and assessment, help students reflect upon and apply stress management strategies and concepts to the context of nursing study and practice, not only in order to manage their own stress but also the stress of their clients during clinical training.
