Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
To transmit to the students knowledge of technical design and the technologies associated to the technological processes in the area of welding and cutting by trimmings to acquire the following competences:
Reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
Execution of technical drawings of isolated parts.
Ability to use technical drawing software at a basic level.
Ability to progress autonomously in the DAC area.
General technological knowledge in order to identify and interpret the technological processes associated with welding and chip cutting.
Knowledge associated with the operation of a general mechanic workshop and the work performed with hand tools and machine tools.

1. Technical Drawing
1.1 - Orthogonal projections.
1.2 - Cuts and Sections.
1.3 - Counting.
1.4 - Perspectives.
2 . Computer Aided Design (CAD)
2.1 - Introduction to AutoCAD.
2.2 - Main drawing and dimensioning commands.
3. Hand tools
3.1 - Study of hand tools commonly used.
3.2 - Caring for your handling.
4. Measurement and testing equipment
5. Food & Beverage Outlets
5.1 - More common processes for the manufacture of parts in metalworking.
5.2 - Main machine tools used in general mechanics
6. Start Cutting
6.1 - General: Characterization of the process
6.2 - Variables associated to machining operations by chip trimming
6.3 - Materials used in cutting tools and their characteristics
6.4 - Conventional machining processes: drilling, turning, milling, boring, grinding. Introduction to CNC machining
6.5 - Non-conventional machining processes: EDM, electrochemistry, laser, high speed machining

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
In the UC, the students dialog with the teachers in order to clarify the aspects related to the resolution of the tasks and tasks that constitute the continuous evaluation.
The remainder are theoretical-practical classes that include workshop and computer room.
