Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
On successful completion of the curricular unit, student will be able to:
• Describe the main characteristics of sensors and actuators from the accuracy and uncertainty of
measurement instruments.
• Specify and design functional modules for the measurements of physical variables through electrical signals.
• Design electrical signals to electrical standard values conversion devices.
• Characterize different automotive sensors for the measurements of different variables.
• Characterize different automotive actuators in order to change the variables parameters.
• Knowledge and describe of the main automotive signals transmitters.
• Understand and build block measurement chain established between sensors and actuators devices.
Syllabus
1-Fundamentals of measurement techniques;
2-Functional modules for the measurements of physical variables through electrical signals;
3-Signal conditioning modules;
4-Applications and automotive sensors.
