Teaching methodologies

The teaching methodology on lectures is based on a combination of lecture method and questioning for the introduction of theoretical concepts. In practical sessions, active methods are used, using situation simulations that illustrate the theoretical approaches as well as the analysis and discussion of case studies and scientific papers related to contents of the Curricular Unit.
This teaching methodology seeks to create complementary training situations so that the student plays an active role in their own training: individual work founded on a set of materials that stimulate group discussions during classes, as well as team work.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

These teaching methodologies draw from the learning objectives of the course, which call for knowledge regarding the understanding of human behavior in organizations, but also entail objectives and skills regarding knowhow and savoir faire.
In the classroom, through a combination of lecture and Q&A methods, one seeks mainly the development of the students’ conceptual domain and the aptitude to elaborate on the multiple dimensions of organizational behavior (knowledge). By incentivize reading prior to lectures of a set of background texts, one aims to provide students with greater capacity for critical reflection on the themes addressed in the course.
In practical classes, through the use of active teaching methods, we intend to focus on the operationalization of concepts, analysis and resolution of practical cases, together with the development of skills of teamwork and effective communication (both oral and written).
By linking these two types of classes built on diverse but complementary teaching methodologies, one achieves the above mentioned desired objectives and skills regarding knowledge, knowhow and savoir faire.
