Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
The learning outcomes (O) aim to contribute to the understanding of research methodologies in the social sciences and more specifically in the area of Human Resource Management. To this end, students are expected to acquire skills that allow them to:

OA. Identify and recognize the characteristics of scientific work and the differences with other types of knowledge
OB. Identify and recognize the steps of the scientific procedure
OC. Properly prepare an investigation report
OD. Argue the characteristics and specificities of research in the Social Sciences
OE. Identify and recognize the structural components of a Research report,
OF. Identify, recognize, and apply scientific standards for presenting results, figures, formatting, and references, namely the APA7 standard
 OG. Planning a scientific work
 Oh. Know the different types of research methods and techniques in Human Resource Management;
OK. Properly prepare a brief literature review
OL. Adopt the most appropriate methodological strategies depending on the question and objectives of the investigation
OM. Identify and recognize the principles of data processing and technical procedures in quantitative methodologies
ON. Identify and recognize the principles of data processing and technical procedures in qualitative methodologies
OP. Identify and recognize the principles of data processing and technical procedures in mixed methodologies
WHAT. Discuss quality criteria in research
OR. Identify and Recognize the principles and ethical issues in research in Human Resource Management

Teaching methodologies
The teaching methodology predominantly uses active methods, encouraging student participation. By stimulating discussion, students are encouraged to ask questions and problematize reality. The teaching methodology used seeks to provide complementary training situations that contribute to the student being the privileged agent of his own training. Active methodologies are complemented with theoretical exposition of contents with a view to their systematization.
Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
Expository methodologies favor the UC objectives of the more purely cognitive domain (for example, objectives focused on “identifying and recognizing” such as objectives OA, OB, OE, OF...), while active methodologies are oriented towards objectives with a cognitive-behavioral component such as OC, OG, OK, etc.
Assessment methodologies and evidences
Continuous assessment consists of three components:
 1. Group work (50%) – Consists of writing a research project and presenting its development process, including: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology Proposal, Impact and Results Prediction, Schedule and Bibliographical References.
 2. Written Test (40%) – individual test, in person and without consultation
 3. Biweekly tasks (10%) – small tasks to be prepared individually every two weeks.

 Final evaluation
The final evaluation (normal season, season of appeal or special season) will consist of an individual written test (100%)
