Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes
This module is designed for students to acquire basic skills and knowledge to lead and manage the recruitment and selection processes. For organizations to succeed it is crucial to develop effective recruitment and selection processes, in order to employ future employees with the right skills thus providing a balance between personal expectations and the goals of the organization.
Teaching methodologies
In the theory classes the method used will be predominantly lectures, while encouraging the participation of students by asking questions to stimulate personal reflection and develop more autonomous attitudes. In the practical classes the method used will be active, where the students will simulate a recruitment and selection process.
Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes
The methods used are intended to present the methods and techniques used in recruitment and selection, so that students are able to implement the appropriate recruitment and selection process for the specific job and the organizational context.
This module seeks to contribute to the development of the following skills:
- acquisition of knowledge about the methodology and implementation of recruitment and selection;
- developing skills to the level of autonomy and "learn to learn", which is so important in today's organizations because the processes and methods are always changing.
Assessment methodologies and evidences
Continuous assessment includes a written test, group work and participation and exercises in class. The final assessment consists of an individual written exam.
