Statistics is essential in the context of business sciences, as it is to know of statistical techniques that allows drawing the conclusions about the population from the sample. The contents of this curricular unit have been developed to allow the acquisition of the theoretical background needed in several areas of business and management and the consequent practical application of them. Descriptive statistics allows the description and interpretation of information contained in a set of numerical data.The probabilities and distributions are essential to the construction of confidence intervals and hypothesis tests. The acquisition of such knowledge allows students to formalize, interpret and solve problems
Assessment methodologies and evidences
The assessment is carried out with two tests and a final exam.
