Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)

Learning objectives are:
- Understand the fundamental concepts, methodologies, techniques and tools of Quality, Management;
- Understanding the quality management as organisational management subsystem;
- Understanding the importance and challenges of quality management.
The aim is also to contribute to understanding organizational integration and consolidation of knowledge of quality management in the face of social change, economic and cultural progress.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the UC intended learning outcomes

Trough the interpretation and understanding of concepts, methodologies and techniques quality management, such as systems certification, regulations, standards and tools for improvement will be possible for students to understand the quality management.

Teaching methodologies

Classes will be theoretical and practical methodologies and will be used in expository presentation of theoretical concepts associated with the curricular unit that are alternated with the placement of the discussion topics in order to encourage active participation and encouraging students´ creative discussion and exchange of experiences, which is complemented with the placement of questions directed to carry out formative questions and discussion of texts.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's intended learning outcomes

The discussions and exchanges of experiences, as well as the presentation and discussion of cases to promote at the presentation in class of each subject, will contribute to a better understanding and interpretation of the fundamental concepts of quality management and their impacts on organizational development.

Assessment methodologies and evidences

I. 1-CONTINUOUS EVALUATION

The evaluation of knowledge consists of:
- the preparation, presentation and discussion of a work (TG), held in Group (consisting of 3 to 4 students).
- Realization of a test (T) on a specified date.

Final grade = 0.60 T + .40 TG

In Case test or note of TG is less than 10 values, the student will have to carry out another season of evaluation.

I. 2-other times the assessment is based on a test (100%)

I.3-NOTES
Each working group must be composed of 3 to 4 elements, and identify their group members (name, photo, no student, class, telephone and email).
