CICE / [The Centre for Research in Business Sciences]
The Centre for Research in Business Sciences is the research unit of the ESCE. The CICE’s objectives are:
- Perform scientific investigation for application in the field of business sciences
- Promotion of scientific exchange with international and national institutions of higher learning
- Organization and development of scientific research projects singularly or in partnership in its field
- Contribute to the continuous process of scientific advancement of the ESCE teaching staff
- Encourage and Support the presentation of scientific projects for public and private financing
- Support and divulge research results within the scientific community
- Resource and Budget Management
The governing body of the CICE is formed by: the Plenary, the Scientific Committee, the Coordinating Committee, and the Board of Advisors. The CICE Board of Advisors includes, among others, two or three specialists, invited by the Coordinating Committee, in representation of national or international institutions or organizations of higher learning. CICE is composed of five Research Labouratories: Accounting and Finance; Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management; Economics and Management; Marketing and Logistics; IT Systems. Each laboratory is staffed by three to six full doctorates or doctoral candidates integrated in research projects coordinated by the CICE.
