Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
a) To understand the importance of Management in the business system and in society in general; to distinguish within the company the different components of management, their specific objectives and different modes of operation; to know the main concepts and techniques of management; awareness of the social and economic relevance of entrepreneurship; understand the entrepreneurial process and the preparation a business plan; b) know the factors underlying organizational behavior and its potential consequences; analyze and intervene on some factors that determine behavior in the work context; to understand the concept of organizational innovation as well as the process of organizational innovation, the process of implementing an innovative culture and organizational change through innovation.

Management studies:
1-The organization and its environment: concept and typology of organizations; environment and organization as a system; 2- Management - Functions and processes, Mission, Objectives, Planning and Strategy, Organizational Structures; 3- Marketing Management, Evolution of the Marketing concept; Quantitative and qualitative market analysis; Marketing Mix; 4- Production management; production management and company strategy; types of production and stock management; 5- Financial management and investment analysis; a company's equity, financial statements, investment analysis and selection; 6-The management and the entrepreneurial activity; basic concepts; the social and economic importance of entrepreneurship; the profile of the entrepreneur and main motivations; the entrepreneurial process - from idea to market; the embodiment; the business plan;
Organizational Behavior studies:

Objective a) derives from Chapters 1 to 6, Objective b) follows Chapters 7 to 14.
Teaching methodologies
Expositive-participatory method, resolving case-studies and group work.

The tests are intended for students to maintain a regular rhythm of study and work, and are directed to the learning of theoretical concepts. The resolution of case studies allows the discussion and consolidation of theoretical concepts.
Assessment methodologies and evidences
In each part the continuous evaluation contemplates the accomplishment of two mini-tests (45-60m each) realized in the class, the arithmetic average of the classification obtained in the two tests will have to be equal or superior to 9,5 (on a 0-20 scale), and it corresponds to 70% of the final grade, 30% corresponds to the group work (s). The arithmetic mean of the tests in each part, as well as the final mark of each part cannot be less than 9.5.
The mini-tests are held in the middle and at the end of the semester, at a date to be defined according to the class schedule.

Observations
The semester consists of 20 weeks, 15 lessons and 5 preparation and evaluation. The weekly on-site hours comprise 4 hours theoretical-practical (4 hours) which after 15 teaching weeks totals 60 hours. The autonomous work hours total 94, and the hours of evaluation 5h. The workload obtained is 159 hours, obtaining a total of 159 h / 27 = 6 ECTS.
