Intended learning outcomes (Knowledges, skills and competencies to be developed by the students)
It is intended with this curricular unit that the student is aware of norms, regulations and techniques for the realization of projects of low voltage electrical installations and the ability to design and implement small electrical installations for industrial applications.
Syllabus
1- Regulations and Norms applicable. Types and categories of facilities. Organization of electricity projects.
2- Symbology and Normalization.
3- Computer Aided Design (CAD) - basic functions for drafting electrical schematics.
4- Electrical Circuits of Lighting and Outlets: Representation of electrical circuits through the principle diagram, multi-wire and single-wire;
Command of points of light; Fluorescent lamps; Circuits of plugs; Plumbing; Electrical switchboards; Equipment and equipment
cutting and protection.
5- Balance of loads: evaluation criteria; determination of powers installed and contracted.
6- Structure of low voltage electrical power supply networks, column frames and speaker boxes.
7- Electrical cables: types and modes of installation; Reference method for its dimensioning.
8- Automatisms, General Concepts; Basic control circuits with instantaneous and timed relays.
9- Powertrain Schemes: Contactors; Starter Types of Direct and Star-Delta Engines.
Assessment methodologies and evidences
- Theoretical-practical component: continuous evaluation with the accomplishment of 2 intercalary tests in dates to be defined.
- Laboratory component: continuous evaluation with the accomplishment of 1 or 2 laboratory works (Projects).
The final grade will be calculated as follows:
- Theoretical-practical note: the minimum mark in each test is 8 values (without rounding), with a minimum mark of 10 tests with a 40% weight.
- Final exam (NE) mark of 10 or more, weighing 40%.
- Note from laboratories (NL): calculated on the basis of work carried out equal to or greater than 10 values with a weight of 60%.
