This course focuses on art and heritage. It examines how social memories are constructed and also how to stimulate cultural awareness at both a regional and international level. It aims to train specialists who can work as researchers and experts in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
The graduates of this course will be able to:
- Plan projects and activities based on a sustainable development model of heritage conservation. This model balances the need for high quality heritage resources with quality of delivery for visitors and resource users and quality of life for local populations.
- Integrate cultural policies with heritage conservation and preservation policies.
- Adapt initiatives and projects to existing heritage resources in various contexts.
- Collaborate in the creation of conservation projects.
- Classify and catalogue materials and artefacts related to cultural heritage.

In cultural institutions, in companies and organisations which promote culture or are related to tourism or regional development; as consultants and providers of services to museums, galleries, libraries, archives and to organisations which deal with heritage; management of cultural intervention projects ; as cultural officers and specialists in local councils; as curators and managers for cultural protection projects.
